Mark Simon is the Hagerman Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Director of the Hagerman Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. He received both his Ph.D. in management and his MS in strategic management from Georgia State University. His area of specialization for both degrees was entrepreneurship. He earned his BS in business with an entrepreneurship concentration from Babson College. His research broadly focuses on entrepreneurial decision making, risk taking and new venture formation and has appeared in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice, Business Horizons, Group and Organizational Management and Journal of Business Venturing. Simon has received multiple awards for his teaching, service and research, including Michigan’s 2014 Distinguished Professor Award. He is currently a member of the editorial review board of Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice.
