Sima Fortsch, Ph.D.
Sima M. Fortsch is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain & Operations Management. She has a PhD in Supply Chain & Operations Management with a minor in Industrial Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo, a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, and Executive MBA from University of Rochester in Rochester New York.
She has several years of industry experience with major firms such as Eastman Kodak and Procter & Gamble. She won the Graduate Student Excellence In Teaching Award in 2012, and the Faculty Teaching Award in 2015. Prior to joining UM-Flint, Dr. Fortsch has taught: Strategic Management, Supply Chain & Global Operations, Managing New Product and Process Development, Statistics, Contemporary Economics, and Principals of Management. Her research interests are in Supply Chain and Operations Management focused on analyzing the nonprofit organizations using econometrics, Meta, and statistical analyses.
