Students transferring credits from another institution or entering college for the first time have the convenience of building their BBA with traditional face-to-face courses, online courses, or a mix of both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Be an Entrepreneur By Doing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/clubs.umflint.edu\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Entrepreneurs Society<\/a> at the School of Management gives students an opportunity to build a network with like-minded students and work on projects that interest you!. This student club provides mentoring and frequently hosts guest speakers to coach students in areas of entrepreneurship, career building, and how to be a leader. The Entrepreneurs Society won the global chapter of the year in 2019 out of 600+ other student organizations. The Hagerman Center facilitates entrepreneurial knowledge and interest among all UM-Flint students across campus. The center connects entrepreneurial students with appropriate resources and builds entrepreneurial excitement beyond the classroom, all while serving the City of Flint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Scholarships Support for Being Innovative<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hagerman Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation provides a handful of competitive scholarships to entrepreneurial inclined students. The Hagerman and Whitener Scholars (student scholarship recipients) gain valuable experience working with centers related projects and with faculty who are teaching and conducting research in entrepreneurship and innovation. The Center offers opportunities for student scholars to meet with community business leaders as they build a network of professional contacts. The Center awards more than $50,000+ total for entrepreneurship and innovation scholarships. Six scholarships are available, several of which are over $10,000, and are made possible by gifts from Phil Hagerman, Flint community business leader, and SOM alumnus Steve Whitener \u201877.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Expert Faculty<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>UM-Flint\u2019s entrepreneurship and innovation management faculty bring practical working knowledge into the learning environment and are experienced, tested, and respected global experts in their field. I\u2019ve grown both personally and professionally through my studies in business and leadership, and I\u2019m grateful for the support and opportunities I\u2019ve had through the School of Management. Being involved as an admissions ambassador and Orientation team member allowed me to build confidence, develop communication skills, and connect with new students. My experience in the Wind Symphony also gave me a strong sense of community and belonging on campus. Many students focus on launching their own business or growing their existing company while in college.<br><br>Our entrepreneurship and innovation management alumni worked at a variety of organizations ranging from non-profits, corporations, self-employed or Fortune 500 companies. They are currently employed at 100K Ideas, Ferris Wheel, United Shore, StockX, Skypoint Ventures and more.<br><br>A salary for someone who holds an entrepreneurship and innovation management degree can largely vary depending on what that individual is doing. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/ooh\/business-and-financial\/project-management-specialists.htm\">Bureau of Labor Statistics<\/a>, the average salary for a project management specialist was $98,580.
