class=\"wp-block-heading has-x-large-font-size\">About Staff Council<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staff Assembly was formed following a task force study in 1990. Staff Assembly consists of two groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Staff Assembly (all staff members of UM-Flint)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff Council (elected UM-Flint staff)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Charter establishes the guidelines for procedures under which these bodies will function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Goals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide open communication between staff and administration on campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be the voice of the administration for channeling concerns by suggesting proposals and solutions with input from the Staff Assembly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Staff Council strives to involve staff in stimulating and maintaining a spirit of unity among colleagues in all departments within our campus community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--70);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--70)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-x-large-font-size\">Staff Council Meetings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Staff Assembly Charter outlines our organizational structure and mission of service. Moore and Roxanne M. Brunger to provide UM-Flint staff with funds to purchase books needed to complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees at UM-Flint. The fund is intended to reward the persistence of UM-Flint staff as they strive toward the completion of a bachelor\u2019s degree. The fund was established in recognition of Marlene Borland, accounting department supervisor, who retired in 1997 after 28 years of service to the university.
