We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to give you a heads up about an important initiative soon to launch from UM-Flint ITS, focusing on enhancing the accessibility of digital resources throughout our campus.
Ensuring that our digital environment is inclusive and accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, is not just a matter of compliance but a reflection of our values as an institution. This IT Accessibility initiative aims to align with the U-M EIT Accessibility Standard Practice Guide (SPG 601.20).
We’ll be reaching out again shortly to individual campus units with detailed information on how you can play a part in this vital effort, including steps on how to assess and document the accessibility of the Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) tools and platforms in use within your department. Your expertise and insights are crucial to this process.
