Tuition Support for Dependents

Beginning with the Fall 2020 semester, we are excited to announce that our Dependent Child Tuition Scholarship is being changed to the Dependent Tuition Scholarship. The program is being restructured, updated and expanded to now offer discounted tuition to the dependent children of all University of Michigan staff and faculty. Also newly included are spouses/Other Qualified Adults (limited to 15 per year) of University of Michigan-Flint staff and faculty!

The University of Michigan-Flint will continue to offer tuition scholarships to dependent children of UM-Flint regular faculty and staff members pursuant to the guidelines currently in place.

The University of Michigan-Flint will offer:

  • 50% tuition assistance for first bachelor degrees to eligible spouses or other qualified adults of UM-Flint faculty and staff, for a maximum of 15 participants per year.  
  • 20% tuition assistance for first bachelor degrees to eligible dependent children of University of Michigan faculty and staff employed at UM-Dearborn, Ann Arbor or Michigan Medicine.
