The current crisis, however, has accelerated the pace of this change with many job seekers attempting to shift into new industries, sectors, and functions, less by choice and more by demand. Join our extended workshop session with Career Coach Katiuska Molina-Luna as we equip career-changers with frameworks to tell your story and make your case to prospective employers. Scholarship Opportunity

The C.S. Mott Engaged Learning Scholarship creates opportunities for University of Michigan-Flint students, regardless of financial status, to participate in engaged-learning opportunities (internships) either domestically or abroad. Completing this application does not guarantee funding. This funding is open to any currently enrolled University of Michigan- Flint student and is limited to a one-time award per student. The purpose of the scholarship is to remove financial barriers from a student in order to complete an internship. These barriers could include cost of transportation, hourly rate of compensation, unpaid internship, cost of travel internationally or several other factors.

Deadline for applications are four times each year:

March 15, June 15, September 15, and December 15 each year.

Applicants will be notified via email by the 5th of the month following the deadline (April 5, July 5, October 5, January 5).

The Career Center offers comprehensive career and professional development services to UM-Flint students and alumni. An array of programs and services ranging from individual career advising and interactive online programs, the annual career/internship fairs and experiential education opportunities are intended to move students through a self and career discovery process intended to equip them for the 21st century workforce.
