Prospective Students
Explore Credit for Prior Learning
The University of Michigan-Flint appreciates that learning can and does take place outside of college courses. Whether you have numerous years of work experience, have earned licensure or certifications, or have served in the military, these learning experiences and credentials may be eligible for awarding you academic credit at UM-Flint.
To explore the possibility of earning academic credit through the university’s Credit for Prior Learning policy, complete this online form and the Coordinator for Credit for Prior Learning will contact you to discuss your responses through the email address you provide.
Please note that while the university can discuss the prospects of earning credit through CPL, the process of awarding academic credit through the demonstration and documentation of prior learning is only available to enrolled students. Once you register for classes, you can begin the review and approval process.
