Discover Your Community at the University of Michigan-Flint

Residential Theme Communities offer more than just a place to live. They provide a supportive environment where you can grow, connect, and thrive with fellow students who share your interests and passions.

Each community centers on a unique theme, allowing you to dive deeper into topics that matter to you. Whether you are interested in leadership, cultural exploration, wellness, identity, or academic excellence, there is a place for you.

Through partnerships with the Division of Student Affairs staff, our theme communities offer exciting events, hands-on learning, and opportunities to make a difference both on and off campus.

Gender & Sexuality

Live Proud. Live Connected.

The Gender & Sexuality Theme Community, in collaboration with the Center for Gender and Sexuality, offers a supportive and gender-inclusive housing option for LGBTQ+ students and their allies. It is a place where you can live, learn, and grow together.

Students in this community engage in peer-led programs, transformative dialogue, and community outreach, all while building meaningful relationships in a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment.
