Tuition is based on the 2025-26 school year (fall 2025-summer 2026). Tuition costs can change every academic year.
Thirty credits are based on students who transfer in with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college and have an MTA. If students do not meet these criteria, there may be additional credits required. Apply and speak to your UM-Flint advisor for a personalized course plan.
How to Apply
Step 1: Apply to UM-Flint’s RN to BSN program
When applying, make sure to choose BSN completion as your major (NOT pre-nursing), even if you are still in your associate degree in the nursing program.
Step 2: Schedule an Appointment
After you are admitted to UM-Flint’s RN to BSN program, please schedule an appointment with an RN to BSN advisor to create a course plan.
Step 3: Apply for the UM Health-West Scholarship before the start of the semester

Step 4: Financial aid and Tuition Reimbursement
Make sure to fill out a current FAFSA. If you are planning on using the Transfer Merit Scholarship or any other UM-Flint scholarships, please speak with UM-Flint’s Financial Aid Department before the start of the semester to see if you qualify. If you plan to use tuition reimbursement from UM Health-West, please make sure to speak to UM Health-West’s HR department to see if you qualify.
