MAC has staff resources to offer the campus community centralized photo and video services.

Photo/Video Requests must be made at least two weeks before an event date for consideration. If your needs occur within two weeks of the requested date, we cannot guarantee availability due to previously scheduled events.

Request parameters

The following events are photographed as a priority to support the goals of the university:

  • Photographs for use in university communications print and web.
  • Photographs to accompany news stories/releases.
  • Portraits that are required for news-related stories.

The following events will be considered on a case-by-case basis, according to availability and prior scheduling:

  • Photographic coverage for departmental print and web materials.
  • Portraits for individuals or department needs.
  • Videography needs/requests that fall outside of news-related communications.
  • Social events, including receptions, dinners, retirement and going away parties, awards banquets and conferences.

  • When will photos be available?
    • Photos will be available approximately 14 days following the photoshoot in the UM-Flint DAC. If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie VanWagoner, MAC photographer, at stvanwag@umich.edu.
  • Will professional clothing or a wardrobe be provided?
  • Do I need to make an appointment?
    • No appointment is necessary, as this is a first-come, first-served event.
  • I can’t make it to the date. Will there be another photoshoot?
    • Yes, MAC offers photoshoots twice a year.
  • Can I make an appointment to get photos done?
    • No. Photoshoots are first-come, first-served only.
  • Will I be able to review or inspect the photos?
    • No. By participating in the photo shoot, you are waiving any right to inspect or approve the photographs.
