History of the School of Management
The School of Management (SOM), established in 1975, is the oldest professional school at the University of Michigan-Flint, and is located on the second floor of the Riverfront Center. Continue to read full history.
The UM-Flint School of Management produces an annual business magazine. The focus of the 2021 magazine is Business Education in a Digital World. Highlighted stories are SOM Dean transition, maximizing online learning, digital job-seeking tips, pathways for transfer students, outstanding student organization award, an esteemed alumna and family establishing graduate studies scholarship. The 2021 magazine also includes compelling stories of student achievement, profiles of successful alumni, research highlights of faculty, and donor highlights.
