Form I-9 is used to document verification of the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. Federal law requires the university to complete Form I-9 for each individual hired for employment in the United States.

  • Faculty will be processed via communication with the designated HR Business Partner.
  • Regular Staff will be processed during onboarding.
  • Student/temporary employees will need to follow the steps below:
    • Receive an email from HR Business Partner containing instructions on completing the I-9 process in HR.
    • Once the I-9 has been completed and processed, an email will be sent to the new hire and the department with authorization to work.
