JCPenney is hosting a shopping event for students and will be offering an additional 40% off of regular, sale and clearance prices for your professional wardrobe. This is a great time to stock up, update your wardrobe or pick out the perfect interview outfit. This event is open to students from UM-Flint, Mott, Baker and Kettering. You must shop in-store at the Genesee Valley Location for this discount.

During drop-in advising hours, we welcome you to stop by to meet with a Career Advisor or work on your professional documents in our Career Center Planning, Innovation and Teamwork space.

Our staff will be available to address quick questions, review documents, and help you prepare for upcoming opportunities in a group setting. Each month we will highlight various professional competencies, which are the foundations for our Careers4Years career development guide. Bring your resume, questions and curiosity!

March: Critical Thinking and Communication

The top skills employers look for in new graduates are the ability to exercise sound reasoning to analyze issues, make decisions, and overcome problems.
