American Muslim Community Services (AMCS)
Approved by the IRS as a 501 c-3 non-profit public charity, AMCS provides a wide array of educational and health services to augment local social services. Each winter it provides SAT coaching to area high school students. As an approved agency of the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, AMCS also sponsors the Flint Muslim Food Pantry at 4400 S. Saginaw Street, which distributes food on Saturday mornings once or twice a month.

Provider Empowerment Program (PEP)
The Provider Empowerment Program (PEP) aims to improve the quality of child care in Flint through a comprehensive program that supports child care providers. The PEP team works closely with Child Care Network and other local collaborators, taking a human-centered design approach toward meeting the most pressing needs of providers. PEP is supported by a grant from the Kellogg Foundation to UM-Flint in partnership with InGlobal Learning Design.

Shop Floor Theatre Company
This organization creates original and transformative place-based arts and education programming with, and for, people of all ages, experiences and backgrounds. The company has worked in area school districts during the school day and after school to teach poetry, theatre, dance and life skills to young people. Shop Floor has also used verbatim theatre and other community-centered techniques to create work representing diverse voices and opinions to encourage civic dialogue and engagement, and promote social and cultural awareness.
