Staff Council Meeting - December 17, 2015, 10-11:30am

Please join us at our next Staff Council Meeting, held on Thursday, December 17, 10am-11:30am, in the Shiawassee Room, UPAV.

Every UM-Flint staff member belongs to Staff Assembly and is welcome to attend every Staff Council Meeting.

2015 Staff Awards Celebration Recognizes Decades of Dedication to UM-Flint

The 30th annual UM-Flint Staff Recognition Dinner was held June 10 at the Flint Golf Club. Twenty-one staff members were recognized for their years of service.

Vicki Ames Appointed to Special Network Team

Vicki Ames of UM-Flint Facilities & Operations was recently been added to U of M's The Voices of the Staff Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Network Team. She is also a core team member of VOICES. Says Ames, "I’m excited to say that I received a very warm welcome." In mid-November, the Voices of the Staff Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team is hosting a workshop as one of a series of events associated with President Schlissel's Diversity Summit initiative. The team's workshop is entitled "Connecting Through Story: How Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Impacts the Workplace."

Tawana Branch, Human Resource Assistant Senior

Tawana Branch began her career nine years ago with the University of Michigan-Flint. She currently works in Human Resources and is an engaged staff member acting as a mentor in the MPowering My Success program and serving as a host family for UM-Flint students.
