Michigan Test for Teacher Certification Support, Study Guides & Workshops


The Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) tests are vital to the success of a teacher candidate. We offer a variety of workshops, tutoring opportunities, and events throughout the year to provide educator candidates with more opportunities to expand their knowledge in various subjects. To help prepare for the MTTC, we offer flashcards, online courses, practice tests, and study guides for many of the tests including Elementary Education, Language Arts (elementary and secondary), Social Studies (elementary and secondary), and Speech.

240Tutoring digital study guides for the MTTC are available! Current students and alumni are encouraged to subscribe to the Student Discount Link ($25/month) for full access to a variety of helpful flashcards, quizzes and practice tests.

MTTC fee waiver vouchers are available through the Office of Financial Aid.

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) recommends the following MTTC test preparation resources:

  • Study Materials – describes how to identify and use study materials that have been designed for MTTC test-takers
  • Webinar – a recorded webinar the MTTC program, how to identify and use study materials, and how to interpret your score report. Annotated slides used in the webinar are also available to peruse at your own pace.
