Ready to get more out of your summer break? The University of Michigan-Flint offers enriching programming in unique areas for K-12 students. Hosted by world-renowned faculty, these programs expand campers’ curiosity and develop their passions while offering an up-close look at the UM-Flint campus.

Future doctor? Entrepreneur? Tech innovator? UM-Flint has a camp for that and more. Find your summer plans here. While these are not overnight camps, attendees will be immersed in their chosen topic!

Esports Rocket League Training Camp
Dates: June 24 and 25, 2026; 8 a.m – 5:30 p.m.
Age Group: Grades 9-12
Cost: $100
Snacks and a camp t-shirt are provided; students need to pack a daily lunch
The UM-Flint Esports team is hosting a Rocket League training camp for high school students, coached by a semi-professional Rocket League player with Rocket League Championship Series experience and over 13,000 hours of gameplay. This camp helps reinforce and build new skills for students within the game of Rocket League, learning about game mechanics, rotation, and important fundamentals.

Summer Entrepreneurship Institute
Dates: June 16-18, 2026
Age Group: Grades 11-12
Cost: $50
Registration deadline: April 30, 2026
Lunches and a camp t-shirt are provided
The Summer Entrepreneurship Institute will assist participants with an interest in business and entrepreneurship to decide if this is a route they would like to pursue in college. The program will engage students in a series of life-changing sessions, allowing them to get a feel for the field. The mission is to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and to assist students in learning about the process of starting and growing new ventures.

Soccer Day Camp
Dates: June 13, 2026
Time: 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
Age Group: 5 – 13
Cost: $40; $35 for each additional child
Registration Deadline: May 31, 2026
Snacks and water provided
The UM-Flint Women’s Soccer Club is hosting a soccer day camp at Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc. Light snacks and water will be provided. Participants should wear athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes; cleats and shin guards are recommended. Come join us for a day of fun and strengthen your soccer skills!

Exploring Health Careers
Dates: June 16, 2026
Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the William S. White Building
Age Group: Incoming grades 9-12
Cost: $30
Registration Deadline: June 10, 2026
Lunches and a camp t-shirt are provided
The health care industry offers a wide range of rewarding career opportunities that are both in-demand and impactful. Our experienced faculty and enthusiastic students are eager to share their knowledge and passion for health care with you.

Summer Vocal Academy of Music
Dates: July 7 – 17, 2026
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in David M. French Hall
Age Group: Maize Choir Grades 5-7; Blue Choir Grades 8-12
Closing concert: July 17 at 6 p.m. in the UM-Flint Theatre
Cost: $180
Early Bird Registration: Pay $150 if registered by June 12, 2026
Registration will remain open until the first day of camp.
Camp t-shirt provided, campers need to bring a daily lunch from home
The Summer Vocal Academy of Music invites students currently in grades 5-12 for ten days of singing, music exploration, artistry, performance, and friendship.

Future Nurse Summer Camp
Dates: July 20-21, 2026
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the William S. White Building
Age Group: Incoming grades 9-12
Cost: $50
Join us for the Future Nurse Summer Camp at UM-Flint School of Nursing, where students will engage in interactive activities and explore nursing career paths with guidance from professionals and current students. Through panels, workshops, and tours, participants will gain insights into nursing roles, specialties, and essential skills while building confidence for their future in health care.

Ready, Set, Kindergarten
Dates: May 26 – Aug.19, 2026
Time: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Location: Early Childhood Development Center; William S. White Building
Age Group: Incoming Kindergarteners
Cost: $300 per week; $186 Monday/Wednesday/Friday; $128 Tuesday/Thursday; Registration fee: $100 registration fee and $75 materials fee.
Breakfast is provided at 8:30 a.m. and an afternoon snack is provided at 3 p.m. Families must provide a healthy lunch.
Children entering kindergarten can enroll in UM-Flint Early Childhood Development Center’s Ready, Set, Kindergarten program for the summer months to keep your child on track for kindergarten. We will be working on literacy, math, science and social studies concepts, along with enhancing your child’s social skills in the classroom, outdoors and on field trips. Children will have the chance to work in small groups, large groups and individually.
