Additional Resources

Some UM-Flint students may benefit from different ways of seeking mental health support. We encourage students to take advantage of these additional resources available 24/7:

Anonymous Online Mental Health Screening

Take an anonymous online mental health screening to check on your mental health. Students can complete a general mental health screen or focus on a particular concern such as anxiety, depression, or substance abuse. Upon completing a screening, you will receive immediate results along with information on additional resources. Complete a screening.

Togetherall

A safe online community to share feelings anonymously and get support to improve mental health and well-being. In the Togetherall online community, students can anonymously connect with others who understand what you’re going through. Whether you want to get advice, tips, or just want someone to listen outside of your friendship group, Togetherall is available to you. You may also be able to help others!

All UM-Flint students have access to:

  • Togetherall’s Global Community: A safe anonymous, online community where students can seek support and support others.
  • 24/7 Moderation: Togetherall is moderated by mental health practitioners to ensure that students feel safe and are navigated to the appropriate level of care. Togetherall is integrated with Protocall, CAPS’ 24/7 crisis support services, for students in need of additional assistance.
  • Self-Guided Courses and Resources: Students can independently engage in a variety of courses, self-assessments, articles, journaling, and links to other available services, such as CAPS and other UM-Flint resources.

Students can access Togetherall through three simple steps:

  1. Enter your UM-Flint email address on the registration webpage
  2. Complete the short online form to create an account
  3. Verify your email address–check your UM-Flint email for an email from Togetherall with a verification link.

Stressbusters App

The Stressbusters App is now available for download in Apple’s App Store and Google Play for Android devices at no cost. Offered by the national Stressbusters wellness program, the App makes it possible for students and others in the UM-Flint community to have immediate access to the following wellness activities:

  • Daily messages: short messages that focus on emotional health, maintaining perspective, and overall positive messages to help get through the day
  • Calming activities: various activities, such as breathing, the ‘sonic spa’ and ‘Instacalm’ to help increase calm and focus
  • Videostream: a channel of changing videos including how-to segments, expert interviews, and other relevant short videos
  • Health Rewards: an initiative designed like an airline frequent-flyer program that awards accumulating points for participation in CAPS and other UM-Flint Wellness activities. The rewards are UM-Flint items, giving rewards to local non-profit organizations, and other special surprise rewards.

Stressbusters is like having a spa in your pocket!
