There are many great restaurants near campus and around Flint. If you're here on a Saturday, check out the Flint Farmer's Market (indoors, open year-round). Flint is also home to one of the most extensive collection of street murals. You can find a map of the 100+ works of art here, so you can visit them in person. Flint also boasts the state's second largest art museum, the Flint Institute of Arts.
If you're in a mood for shopping, there's the Genesee Valley Center in Flint Township and Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Center down in Auburn Hills. The city of Frankenmuth is also not far from campus, which has many shops, activities, and is home to the world's largest Christmas store.
For teams competing at the UM-Flint Rec Center, locker room and shower access is available upon request.
