Through distinctive curricular experiences and identifiable outcomes that distinguish UM-Flint students, Academic Affairs fosters the disposition for excellence that is grounded in the best of the University of Michigan’s two hundred year history. We create coherent and efficient pathways to employment and advanced study by combining the best of liberal and professional education coupled with deep and respectful connections to the life of our community.

Dedicated to providing relevance and value for all students, we advance the strength and ambition of the faculty and support their work of discovery and creativity. Through strategic investments in faculty and programs we innovate to advance our mission and extend our influence as intellectual leaders. Our commitment to students is our primary concern and the key point of mission focus.
