The Gender & Sexuality Theme Community is a collaboration with the Center for Gender & Sexuality offering gender-inclusive housing for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and supporters to live, learn and grow together through education, and peer-led programming, community outreach, and transformative dialogue. In addition, students will be invited to learn more about service through connecting with community organizations and/or participating in programming facilitated by CGS. Housed in our First Street Residence Hall students are invited to join this community, regardless of major.

Advantages of joining the Gender & Sexuality

• Gain a sense of belonging and connectedness with residents who have diverse gender identities. Students are also provided a built-in support network from peers and campus partners.
• Increased sense of safety and a community where you can be yourself.
• Engage in intentional programs delivered by Peer Educators from the Center for Gender & Sexuality (retreats, fun activities, thought-provoking dialogue, and off-campus excursions).
