About the Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation Team

The CARE Team is dedicated to addressing situations and behaviors that may impact student success or compromise the safety and well-being of the campus community. With a centralized focus, the team works collaboratively to provide support, resources, and interventions that foster a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to submit a CARE referral and share concerns, whether about themselves or a friend. Speaking up can connect someone to the help they need before challenges grow more serious.

The mission of the University of Michigan-Flint CARE Team is to provide a coordinated, caring response to situations and behaviors that have the potential to impede success and/or threaten the safety and security of the campus and learning environment. This response is tied to the parallel mission of educating and empowering campus constituents to identify and report concerns.
