Due to intermittent public health restrictions on ice rink open skating, the ice rink will not be open for the 2020-2021 winter season.

Rink Policies

To ensure the safety of all participants, please abide by the following rules:

  • Only wear skates on ice or protective matting
  • No boots/shoes worn on ice when others are skating (must wear ice skates)
  • Use caution when skating and be considerate of others
  • Wearing a helmet while skating is recommended
  • Skate at your own risk. Users assume full responsibility for determining if conditions are safe for skating
  • Secure your belongings. The University is not responsible for lost or stolen items
  • Children 17 years old and under must be accompanied by a parent or an adult sponsor who assumes responsibility for supervision
  • Skate in counterclockwise direction
  • Carrying infants or children while skating is not allowed

The following are not permitted:

  • Dangerous play, including skating fast and weaving in and out around other skaters
  • The use of alcohol and smoking
  • Loud, disruptive noise
  • Dogs or other pets
  • Hockey sticks, pucks, or other equipment used for play on the ice
