Accelerated Online Business Degree

100% Flexible Online Program Option

The general business degree is the most convenient and flexible online program at the School of Management. Students can take classes 100% online, traditional face-to-face, mixed mode or in an accelerated online format, which allows learners to complete two seven-week online asynchronous courses at a time.

Expert Faculty

UM-Flint’s General Business faculty bring practical working knowledge into the learning environment and are experienced, tested, and respected global experts in their field. Like all University of Michigan instructors, they have a passion for education and years of experience teaching and researching current business issues. General Business faculty members are available to consult with students wishing to pursue careers in any of the above-mentioned areas.

Dual BBA/MBA Degrees

High achieving students will have the opportunity to apply for the joint BBA/MBA program in their junior year. This program will allow students to substitute senior-level BBA major courses with corresponding MBA concentration courses. Students also have the opportunity to waive four MBA foundation courses by earning  B’s or better in the equivalent BBA courses. BBA students in this program could earn their MBA for as few as 24 credits, instead of the traditional 45 credits.

Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business

In addition to the requirements for the BBA degree, the major in general business requires 18 additional credits in business courses numbered 300 or higher.

The general business major provides students a broad business background and great flexibility to choose their course of study. Elective options come from accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, marketing, management, and operations and supply chain management. These options allow students to customize their curriculum based on their career interests and aspirations.
