A Real Value. A Real Michigan Degree.
A recognized University of Michigan degree is more affordable than you might think, especially when you earn that degree at UM-Flint.
Year after year, the University of Michigan-Flint’s tuition ranks among the lowest of any public university in Michigan, making it one of the best values in higher education in the state—and across the nation.
To help make your Michigan degree even more affordable, we offer a great selection of scholarships and financial aid.
First-Year Merit Scholarships
Instantly available to motivated students with strong academic records, our First-Year Merit Scholarship program offers awards ranging up to $5,000 a year, with limited full-ride awards available.
HAIL Scholarship
The HAIL (High Achieving Involved Leader) Scholarship is an initiative started at the Ann Arbor campus to identify high-achieving students within the state of Michigan, who have demonstrated a financial need. The University of Michigan-Flint is proud to recognize the HAIL Scholar recipients by becoming a full partner for this year’s fall 2022 class.
The HAIL Scholarship at UM-Flint ensures full tuition and mandatory fee coverage for up to four years (which may be in conjunction with other financial aid components). Your enrollment at UM-Flint may continue to graduation, or you may choose to transfer to UM-Ann Arbor. Those students who choose to transfer to Ann Arbor will need to apply as a transfer student. Transfer admission to UM-Ann Arbor is not guaranteed for HAIL students. Students will be responsible to earn the appropriate grades to be a competitive transfer applicant to Ann Arbor. Academic advising services are available from both campuses to help students determine which campus best suits their educational needs.
