Basketball Camp

June 22 - 25, 2009 / Coed / Ages 6 - 12

9:00 a.m. ~ Noon; Monday ~ Thursday
$80/Week; Limited to 60 Campers/Week

This camp, led by former Chicago Bulls Draft Pick Ervin Leavy, Jr., is designed for young people who want to learn, and improve the execution of the fundamental offensive and defensive skills of basketball for winners. Campers will learn and practice proper techniques of passing and receiving, dribbling (both hands) and ball handling, shooting (lay-ups are basic but not easy), and rebounding (court position and hustle count as much as height). Defensive strategies (be aggressive) and skills (watch the footwork) will be explained and demonstrated before practice. Young basketball players will learn the building blocks of the game, refine skills and add to their court knowledge and awareness. And they will have plenty of fun along the way.

We suggest that each camper wear a t-shirt, gym shorts, athletic socks, and a good pair of basketball shoes, Basketballs will be provided.

For more information or to receive a brochure by mail, call (810) 762-3441.
