The University of Michigan-Flint is now offering paid summer undergraduate research experience opportunities funded through the generous support of the Charles S. Mott Foundation. SURE is designed for undergraduate students who are interested in full or half-time paid summer research opportunities mentored by UM-Flint faculty advisors.
The application and selection process is similar to the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP). Faculty advisors propose mentored research projects and students apply for placements with the available research projects. Faculty with approved projects will be allowed to select a one or more students from the pool of applicants. Approximately 10 awards are available for SURE in the summer of 2018 (between May and August).
Faculty and students can direct questions to the undergraduate research program manager in the Office of Research, Andre Louis (firstname.lastname@example.org).
