Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

The University of Michigan-Flint welcomes the use of electric vehicles on campus. Two locations are available for faculty, staff, retirees, and registered students.

(located on the south side of 1st Street between Wallenberg and Harrison)
Two (2) EV Charging Spaces are available in Lot T from Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • A valid UM-Flint parking permit and valid EV permit.
  • Blink RFID Access card OR Blink Mobile App account; Blink users need to be added to the university’s Blink subscription. More Information
  • Contact the DPS Administrative Office to establish use.
  • Users may charge their vehicle up to a maximum of four (4) hours per day at no charge.
  • Users are expected to unplug and move their vehicle after four (4) hours.
  • If a vehicle is not unplugged or remains in the EV charging parking space beyond four (4) hours, occupancy fees will be assessed.
  • It is recommended that Blink members opt-in for communications (text message, email, or both) to receive alerts that the charge has been completed and to track fees.

  • A valid UM-Flint parking permit and a valid EV permit
  • Chargepoint Mobile App account

  • Users may charge their vehicle up to a maximum of four (4) hours per day at no charge.
  • Users are expected to unplug and move their vehicle after four (4) hours.
  • If a vehicle is not unplugged or remains in the EV charging parking space beyond four (4) hours, the vehicle will be ticketed.
